GREAT FOR COUPLE TIME!
"We love the Delve Deck! We literally sat at the dinner table for two hours taking turns answering the questions on the cards. Reminded us of when we were growing up with no cell phones and other current distractions. We love it!"

So what makes Delve Deck so great?

CONVERSATION STARTERS FOR ANY RELATIONSHIP
Whether you've just started dating or have been together for decades, the Delve Deck is designed to get couples out of conversational ruts.
This thoughtfully designed deck has 200 cards organized into 4 levels of intensity, ranging from light to dark. You can keep it light or go deep and delve into heavier questions.

THIS ISN'T YOUR USUAL QUESTION DECK
So many conversation decks for couples feature questions that are best suited to people in new relationships or have only been together for a few years.
While The Delve Deck is great for learning about partners in newer relationships, it also features deeper questions that reveal new things about partners who have been together for several years or even decades!

THIS ISN'T A ONE-AND-DONE DECK
We curated the questions in the Delve Deck to be open-ended.
What that means is that the answers you have to these questions will likely change over time as you and partner experience new things as you move through life together.
The things you like, dislike, and care about most will change along with you, so your answers will often change when you revisit the Delve Deck.

IT'S A GREAT VALUE
Think about what you typically spend $32 on. A couple movie tickets and some popcorn? A couple of entrees and drinks for two? A single concert ticket (if you're lucky)?
These are all pretty fleeting experiences, whereas the Delve Deck can provide dozens of hours of enjoyment with your partner over many years.
Hmmm...maybe we should be charging more for this thing?
GREAT CONVERSATION STARTERS
"We've been married 36 years and they've been great conversation starters for us. I have been surprised by some of his answers, which is fun when you feel like you know someone so well."

THE DELVE DECK ORIGIN STORY
In early 2018 we saw our brand, Boredwalk's, social media engagement on the decline. While we were actively posting new products to our Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest accounts (and later our Twitter, TikTok, and Threads pages), things had stalled.
In hindsight, this made sense. A stylish product photo may be nice to look at, but it's a pretty passive experience that doesn't foster much in the way of connection or feeling like a member of a community. So we began asking questions. A lot of them.
For five straight years we posted a Question of the Day, every day. Weekends. Holidays. Global pandemics. Neither snow nor rain nor...you get the idea.
Question of the Day posts are not new — we didn't invent them. Heck, they even existed before the internet. (Remember page-a-day calendars?) But we do like to think we were more thoughtful and intentional about the KINDS of questions we were asking, and it wasn't ever about just hacking an algorithm.
One of the things that repeatedly comes up in the comments we receive online and the reviews customers leave us about their purchases is that they've "never felt so seen by a brand."
That's because we're not just "a brand." My co-founder (and wife) Meredith and I are real people, with real problems and real curiosities about the world we live in. We design and make products we wish existed, and ask questions we would like the answers to.
As it turns out, a lot of folks share these same curiosities but lack the prompts to ask the other people in their lives questions that can lead to deeper understanding or self-examination when the opportunities to do so arise.
That's why we turned the most popular inquiries from those Question of the Day posts into the Delve Deck — to put something out into the world that bridges the digital divide and brings people closer together by sparking conversations that explore their respective similarities AND differences in a playful, judgment-free context.
We didn't just create the Delve Deck to sell it to other people, though — we use it ourselves every Friday night at home as a way to cut down on screen time, reconnect, and rediscover the spark that attracted us to each other in the first place.
As a result, we've had more fun and learned more about each other playing with this clever tool masquerading as a game than we have in years. We hope you have the same experience with your own Delve Deck!
- Matt, Boredwalk co-founder and Delve Deck designer
