Do you accept returns?
As long as card decks are still sealed in their original packaging and arrive back at our facility undamaged and in their original condition, yes, we do accept returns.
Are the affirmations in these decks suitable for kids?
Definitely not younger kids — they'll find out how bleak the world is soon enough just by interacting with their peers at school and being exposed to news about current events, so no need to burst that bubble earlier than necessary — but if they're in middle school and have already exhibited a cynical or morbid streak and you want to encourage them to lean into their individuality and sense of self, go for it.
We can confidently state that none of the content in our decks, activity books, or journals is explicit or NSFW; at most, we would get a very mild PG rating if these were cinematic releases.
That said, please don't purchase products with words like "sinister," "spectral," and "cynical" in their titles and then come crying to us when they make the odd reference to Satan, demons, ghosts, Cthulhu, werewolves, depression, and anxiety.
There are plenty of photos of the cards and interiors pages of our books on the various product pages throughout our website — just click the images you scrolled past to get this far down the page to be taken to those product pages and swipe through the image galleries and make your own best judgment of their suitability for the young people in your life. I know doing your own research is exhausting, but we have faith in you — you got this.
Do these decks make suitable gifts?
We think so, and dozens of our customers agree — in fact, the section just above this FAQ is loaded with reviews from verified customers who have given these affirmation decks to friends, relatives, and coworkers. It just depends on their personality and whether you think they'd find them amusing, empowering, and/or relatable.
In other words, don't give them to strangers or purchase them for your office's white elephant gift exchange, because you never know where Mary Sunshine may be lurking.
I need ice breakers for work meetings. Are these affirmations good for that?
They can be! Again, it just depends on the vibe of your office, your colleagues, and if they have a good sense of humor that skews a bit dark or cynical. If you work in an office surrounded by sensitive people who are easily scandalized by references to witchcraft, the supernatural, pagan mythology, and the modern dystopia we're all trapped in, maybe get these for yourself and get something more Hallmark-y for work.
What makes these different from other affirmation decks?
No offense, but if you made it this far down the page and still don't know the answer to that question based on the descriptions, the images, the names of the decks, and the ad you likely clicked to end up here... please don't buy these decks. They most likely aren't for you.
Will you be releasing more affirmation decks in the future?
Yes! We have lots of ideas for more affirmation decks (and activity books, and journals, etc.).
However, they do take a long time for us to make. All of Boredwalk's products are written, illustrated, designed, and developed by our co-founders Meredith Erin & Matt Snow. They also lead our content & marketing teams. That's a lot for just two people. So while we are always working on creating new products, we can't say precisely when each new release for each product category we carry will come out. But we do plan to release a fourth affirmation deck before the end of 2026.
