I know it's still 100 degrees in lots of places, but it is officially September and I know everyone is itching to get into hoodies and sip their pumpkin spice lattes (or sip their my-palate-is-more-refined-than-yours black coffees while derisively mocking those who sip pumpkin spice lattes). You know what else cooler weather is great for? Curling up with a good book!

It's National Potato Day! Yeah, sure when I'm cruising the produce department I should be looking for greens or whatever, but who can resist the siren call of the delicious and versatile potato? Fried, mashed, baked — I will take those spuds in any form, thank you very much.
