You're looking lovely today 😁
My favorite tidbit that I learned while reading up on this day is that Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow took time out of their crime spree to write a letter to Ford complimenting them on the car they designed, which the duo used as their getaway vehicle. I feel like that would be considered trolling these days, but maybe it was then too? Who knows!
Ever wished you had a time machine? 🕰️
The nostalgia cycle in pop culture is typically 20-30 years, so that explains why the 1990s are such a popular influence right now. Go to any mall these days and you'll see mannequins dressed like characters from Clueless.
Spring is in the air, but...😒
I am sure the toxic positivity crowd will be horrified by our latest release, chastising us for our "negativity," but let's be honest: if there's one thing being alive guarantees, it's suffering. From stubbed toes to major heartbreak, existence is full of pain, and we're here to crack wise about it.*
Silence isn't the only thing that's golden ☀️
My adopted home state usually gets tons of haters, but that's fine, more California for me! When I moved here nearly a decade ago I had no idea I would love this state so much, but the sunny weather, amazing food, and stunning natural beauty have won me over. Now I can't see myself living anywhere else.
Monday kind of love? 😻
Around here every day is National Love Your Pet Day, particularly since my ancient familiar is a whopping 19 years old and not in great health. I am not sure a more spoiled quadruped exists on the planet, but he is 100% worth spoiling. Pets are known to relieve stress* and lower blood pressure, so be sure to give yours some extra attention today!
Who even hired these two?! 😒
No one has bought into hustle culture more than my anxiety and depression. They start their day early and work 'til all hours, rarely take days off — they're absolutely killing it (and by "it" I mean me). I can't beat them, but I can laugh at them, hence our new design up top.*
Don't mess with these baddies! 😎
Move over, lions, tigers, and bears — the animal you really need to watch out for is the hippopotamus. Hippos kill around 500 people per year, and these surly herbivores aren't even doing it for food: they're just doing it because people get on their nerves (which is a totally understandable impulse)!
🙄 Now that the big game is out of the way...
Happy National Internet Friends Day! How nice of the Random Observance powers that be to create a special day just for the likes of us, Internet Friend!
😤 If you're fed up with hustle culture...
I don't know about you, but I often find myself daydreaming about being a ghost.
It sounds like such a good gig! You don't have to be bothered with all the demands of a slowly-decaying flesh prison, or society's arbitrary and fabricated power structures.

🤫 Personal trainers don't want you to know this 😅
It's Laugh and Grow Rich Day, though I don't see what riches have to do with anything. Seems like kind of a stretch, sort of like my cheeky subject line.
Also, does laughter really even need a second value add? I don't think so — unless you happen to be a gelotophobe, a person with a fear of laughter. This both sounds like a terrible way to live AND would explain a lot about some of the haters in Boredwalk's comments.
Gettin' twiggy with it 🥢
Alright, now that you're done groaning at my punny subject line, go order your favorite sushi, ramen, or stir fry and chew on these interesting facts about chopsticks:
Your guest is as good as mine 😁
At just over one month into 2023 we are officially out of resolution season, but still early enough into the year to start good new habits, and this one is easy: make it a point to commemorate time hosting your favorite people!
