🥞 I don't care what time of day they're served...

Pancakes For Dinner Hoodie

JUST PUT THEM IN MY FACE

Happy National Flapjack Day! Assuming you're into starchy circles of carb-y delight, of course. Maybe you don't like pancakes; I don't know your life!

The good news is that there is nothing stopping you from dousing your food of choice in maple syrup, regardless of the presence of pancakes on your plate.

Decadent flapjacks? Yes, please!

I want to go to there.

Let's have some birthday flapjacks in honor of these March 7th babies of yore:

• Stars of Screen: Bryan Cranston (1956), Rachel Weisz (1971), Jenna Fischer (1974), and Laura Prepon (1980)

• Star of Stage: Wanda Sykes (1964)

• Star of Canvas: Piet Mondrian (1872)

Jonelle's favorite gift to give: Boredwalk Hell Goddess towels!

1. What's your actual day job and what's your dream day job?

 Actual day job: Writer

Dream day job: Writer who only writes stuff that doesn't sell anything

2. What's your biggest pet peeve?

People in orange jackets who scroll their phones in front of famous Japanese cherry blossom spots.

(Editor's note: I find the specificity here oddly satisfying...)

3. What's a book you think the Boredwalk community should read?

The Pillow Book by Sei Shōnagon (because she was the master of snarky tweets eleven centuries before hashtags were invented)

4. If you could have any super power what would it be and why?

To secretly make other people lucky. I mean, wouldn't it be awesome to go around giving a break to people who deserve one? (Although…hmm, typical superpower problem: it would be terrible if anyone found out, because how would I know who my true friends are?)

5. You can curse your nemesis with a minor annoyance for eternity; what do you choose?

May their streaming media be ever plagued with buffering.

(This is brutal, and I am here for it.)

6. What experience do you most want to cross off your bucket list?

Climb Mt. Fuji, but this time not in high heels.

7. Make a prediction about something you think has a reasonably good chance of happening in the remaining months of 2022.

I believe everyone who has been thanked with one of my Boredwalk dish towels will BEG me to let them blurb my next book (so they can get another one).

(I certainly hope so!)

8. Where can the rest of the Boredwalk community find you?

I write books (so you can find me at all the usual book buying places) and also blog around at Only in Japan.
