Happy National Cheesecake Day! After the lackluster lesser holidays we suffered through on Wednesday, this is a welcome — and delicious — change of pace!
Not much is known about the precise origins of cheesecake, but we do know that it was served to Greek athletes during the Olympics of 776 BCE. Pretty sure that makes cheesecake a breakfast of champions. Take that, Wheaties!

Today is also: National Support Public Education Day, National Whistleblower Day, and Paperback Book Day (because the joy of reading knows no borders)! Celebrate these however you see fit.

No new art this week, though I have been working to remedy that situation. Unfortunately my attention lately has been focused on the marketing side of things — hence this email in your inbox! — and it's resulted in a bit of creative block. It's always very difficult to pivot back and forth between the technical and creative parts of my job. Don't worry; I'll keep grinding away at it until something shakes loose. Until then please amuse yourself with the latest podcast episode (linked below) or one of the many existing Boredwalk products you don't own (yet) but have presumably had your eye on.
The long term fix for this problem is really hiring more team members to help with marketing, so if you or someone you know has digital marketing work experience and an interest in joining the Boredwalk team, drop us a line! We are working on finalizing job descriptions for some of the roles we're trying to fill, but in the interim you're welcome to reach out if you happen to be a marketer reading this.

Alright! Podcast time! This week we rant about:
• Irritating interactive ad "experiences" on streaming platforms that make me want to throw my TV out the window.
• The absurdity of insurance for insurance, and other hallmarks of our dystopian modern age.
• Clouds (OK, Meredith didn't really join on this one — this was all me).
• The litany of rules co-founder Meredith and I adhere to as part of our design process. It's...very similar to how Goldilocks makes dining and sleeping decisions.
We also delve into fan responses to recent Questions of the Day "what is something you had to do as a kid that was annoying at the time, but you're glad you had to do now that you're an adult?" and "where is the creepiest place you've every been?"
