National Drink Wine Day
Anyway, it's National Drink Wine Day, and I will take a whole bottle. We've been working hard behind the scenes on totally new products and new shirt designs, and I am exhausted.
Designing the new products isn't really what makes me want a drink; it's actually getting our hot little hands on them. Working with suppliers in 2022 has been harder than ever — yes, even more difficult than in 2020 or 2021. The supply chain issues don't seem to be improving, and being the perfectionists that Boredwalk co-founder Matt and I are, hearing from vendors that they have no materials and no idea when they will have some is making us tear our hair out.
We are expecting a shipment of one of the new products next week — we've got a tracking number and everything — so fingers crossed that we'll all be celebrating another new release next Friday. Until then, we can celebrate a few February 18th birthdays!
• Rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur Andre "Dr. Dre" Romelle Young, born on this day in 1965! Still rocking his khakis with a crease, still got love for the streets, and still reppin' the 213 after a rap career that's older than some of our readers! Good on ya, Dre!
• Actress Molly Kathleen Ringwald, born on this day in 1968. Hope everyone remembers her birthday this year!
• Actor Matthew Raymond Dillon, born this day 1964. You probably discovered him in 80s and 90s classics like The Outsiders, Drugstore Cowboy, Singles, Little Darlings, or There's Something About Mary, but you may have also seen him in recent years on Wayward Pines.
Birthday shout outs also go to actress Cybill Shepherd (1950) and author Toni Morrison (1931).
Lastly, it was on this day in 1930 that Pluto was discovered by by astronomer Clyde W. Tombaugh, with contributions from William H. Pickering.
Alright! We'll be back in your inbox Monday with a new Boredwalk Community Q&A, more famous birthdays, a random holiday or two, and other assorted entertainment!
Until next time...
Peace, love, and wine,
