Good news and bad news 😬

BAD NEWS: REALITY IS GONNA KEEP REALITY-ING

GOOD NEWS: IT'S CHOCOLATE CAKE DAY!

Here at Boredwalk we're not ones to sugarcoat things... unless those things are a moist gooey delicious chocolate cake. Maybe you can't count on the future being any better, but at least there's cake, which won't make things worse.

Or maybe it will! Like if you're allergic to chocolate, or diabetic, or eat too much cake and get a tummy ache or cavities... eh, never mind; see point A above.

Okay, okay, I will stop ruining cake for everyone.

Today also happens to be National Fun at Work Day, although we try to observe this at Boredwalk HQ as much as possible. In fact, our awesome ops manager Marlene is cooking up their own cake-fueled scheme and orchestrating a baking competition at the office next week. Grace from the content team is already plotting to claim the victory, but it's anyone's game.

As you can see up top, we have some new art on a shirt, and even better, next week we release our new book! I'm also feverishly working on writing book number four, though my efforts have been a bit waylaid by my antique cat, who is in declining health and gobbling up a ton of care as he seems to be slow-walking his exit from this mortal coil. Terribly sad for me, but maybe great for him; who knows what cats think — they refuse to tell us!
The Boredwalk content team is much less coy about what's on their minds, and this week you can listen to Tess and Grace banter about getting into therapy, driving in LA, being child-free, befriending seniors, Grace's newfound Harry Potter fandom, and peaking in high school. Check it out on YouTube or your favorite podcast platform.
